Communication
In addition to the built-in RS485 and Ethernet connections, the inverter can connect via WiFi with the purchase of a separate antenna. The SetApp mobile application can then be used for commissioning through a local connection. With an optional add-on card, mobile network connectivity is also possible. Furthermore, panel-level monitoring ensures full transparency of the PV system's performance.

Security
The inverter integrates both leakage current detection and arc protection. While leakage currents and electric arcs can naturally occur, they are usually harmless. However, if harmful leakage currents or arcs are detected, the system automatically shuts down to prevent danger. This protection ensures that the inverter switches off when a person comes into contact with the system or when a potentially harmful arc is present.

For AC/DC segregation, the inverter includes a physical partition to separate alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC).

Safety Unit
The inverter comes with an attached safety unit located on the underside, which includes a two-pole switch. This allows the entire circuit behind the switch to be de-energized by interrupting both the neutral and phase wires.

Additionally, the SolarEdge 3PH Inverter, 30kW, is equipped with Type 2 Surge Protection Devices (SPD) on both the AC and DC sides, safeguarding the system from overvoltage, such as those caused by lightning strikes.
